Research Involving Human Cells and Cell Lines

Consultation: October 17, 2017 to January 5, 2018 (closed)

In October 2017, the Panel on Research Ethics (PRE) released proposed TCPS 2 changes to the public for comment.  These changes pertain to research involving human cells and cell lines. All comments received are posted below unless the contributor requested that they remain confidential. Of the 39 comments received, 33 are posted. Comments are posted in the language in which they were received.

PRE will consider this valuable feedback in its deliberations and submit its final proposed revisions to the federal research agencies (CIHR, NSERC and SSHRC) for approval.
